The Chronicles of Needing A Break…

MY GAMERS!! I (Efocutioner) needed some time away. This corona virus and us being locked in had me sit gave me time to wanting to turn my hobby into a career. From my time off I dedicated myself into wanting to improve The Chronicles of Gamers as a brand and that had me asking certain questions on what was the purpose of the podcast? Who did I create episodes for? So I decided to go back and listen to ALL of the episodes we made.

Originally I made the podcast because I didn’t hear my voice from those who had like these big successful podcast like Podcast Beyond or Kinda Funny or The Giant Beastcast. When starting off it was fun! I was talking about video games with my friends but I wanted to provide some insight so I did research. Eventually life took hold so the original co-hosts that I had move on with better opportunities and my research drove me to discover that the video game industry has a few problems. The fun I was having was slowly changing my voice to those I was listening to wanting to alert people to the problem that video game industry is having. This change was occurring around episode 30. Thus began another saga where I wanted to create change, I wanted to inspire, I wanted to NOT PAY $70 dollars after tax on broken INCOMPLETE BULLSHIT AS GAMES!!!!

As I continued listening to episodes I then began to noticed that I was reacting to things I did not know and speculating on subjects that I did not fully understand. So I went to understand by getting away from the video game industry and looking at the industry as an outsider. I just took that break from The Chronicles of Gamers Podcast and focused on the streaming, learning about marketing, getting my Discord Page together, investing, learning how to write short stories, practicing how to speak on mic, getting my pixel art on, but I had discussions with friends on how the gaming industry was doing every once in a while. Noticing the same cycle but people reacting to situations. From this corona situation and us having to sit still I came to realize two things: YOU can represent the change you want to bring to the world but you CAN’T FORCE CHANGE on someone else, and being Greedy can give you the strength to accomplish what you desire. I then realize what I desire… I want to play high quality video games.

That’s it! I know that’s like a duh moment but it’s something that’s obvious but also vague. High Quality Video Games. Like what is a high quality video game and that what I wanted to know. These values are the answer to my search:

  • Video Game Trailers not to be released without showcasing actual gameplay, release date, and a demo to play
  • Publishers need to take more risk and work on smaller projects or support indie studios with distribution
  • Indie Games are FAN MADE GAMES made from the love of the video game(s) that inspired them
  • Retro Games are TIMELESS CLASSICS from that Generation
  • NO MORE BATTLE ROYAL GAMES! *besides Spellbreak*
  • If you have a game with multiplayer than allow us the option to not play against opponents with wifi
  • ALL FIGHTING GAMES SHOULD HAVE ROLLBACK NETCODE
  • Don’t release a game if there are problems with the gameplay or online
  • STOP TREATING DEVELOPERS LIKE COGS IN A MACHINE and instead give them credit
  • MUSIC IS IMPORTANT IN VIDEO GAMES so switch up the style with other video game composers
  • If you want People of Color money then hire them and let them have input in development
  • Companies should support content creators if not then don’t stand in our way
  • Gamers should not be dependent on one video game or streaming platform
  • When reviewing a game the most important things are if the game is playable or not and the style of game
  • If a gamer has time to complain about a game being delayed then they have time to do something else

Now that I Efocutioner has returned with these values I want to start recording again. This means my topics will be the ideas that I have above and shown me the types of guest to bring on the show from now on. You can agree with what I have listed or not but if you disagree I am down with having a discussion on them or you can go. At the end of the day I care about getting my message out and I will position myself if success comes but even if it’s just you listening then I am golden…

Thank you for reading my EfoTalk now go check out my stream or other damn content. New episodes coming and I be prepared…
